Congratulations to captain Anwar Kaleem and his Timbuktu squad who after a few seasons of gelling, finally get a much needed championship under their belt! It wasn't easy. Tripoli did well early, and Timbuktu was out of their element. Lots of forced shot, and little ball movement for them in the fist half. Second Half, Timbuktu had a nice run, and the game was even until the last two minutes. A few stops and clock killing in the closing minutes sealed this win for Timbuktu. Projected Finals MVP Brian Digangi did well. On the losing end, Omar had a monster game, (3-4 from threes, how 'bout that!). Good D from Faraz, and a great pace set by Tim were also contributing factors to the win. Hard fought game from both teams. Congrats Anwar and Co! great game .. the type of championship game youd want to see
2 loses for Tripoli this year .. both by Timbuktu .. proves they are the better team
Anwar built a great team this year. Definitely the best all around team he's had. Ted is one of the best D2 players and fun to watch.
Brian DiGangi aka Big Red always stepping up! Hit big shots, grabbed big rebounds, solid all around. Definitely MVP of the Finals.
Shout out to all of Timbuktu !! Well earned chip !! It was a pleasure playing against you guys

Congrats to the new champs!!
These guys play hard and play smart. Well deserved win. Shout out to my team also, came up short but it was a blessing to play with you guys!!

Thank you guys for congratulating our team on a tough playoff run from the 1st game to the Final. On behalf of Timbuktu, we appreciate the sportsmanship you guys displayed. Tripoli = class acts. Thanks to Edriss, Ibrahim and everybody else who makes this league possible. Looking forward to participate in more seasons to come God willing. Lastly, congrats to all of my teammates!
