LAST WK: 1

Another strong win for the #1 seeded Al-Andalus. Playing against a weakened Islamabad and despite playing worse in almost every metric compared to last week, they were still able to take a commanding win today. Contributions from David Barber, 12 rebounds, Dylan Weiant and Drew Mohr combining for 30 PTS, this team can really get points wherever they need them.

Gotta give credit where it's due, Medina has pulled off back-to-back victories tying them for the first seed. Medina took on Mecca in week #2, where they proceeded to execute in every way, outscoring and rebounding Mecca, while also winning the turnover battle and performing at the end of the game. Medina has a lot of experience, and craftiness, they could find themselves sitting atop the standings and power rankings with a win over Al-Andalus next week.

Mecca falls to #3 this week, after another tough loss, this week to Medina. This team is built well, with shooters, combined with interior scorers, and some crafty veterans as well. But they struggled this week, against Medinas staunch defense who forced 17 turnovers. If this team plays to it’s strengths, it could climb the ranks quickly. But a little too much iso-ball in the second half really slowed them down. At full strength, I think this team gets things back on track and finds themselves in the win column

Islamabad

LAST WK: 4

The bright spots? 19 rebounds for Caleb Sheikh (no joke), and 15 rebounds for Salmaan Khan. Pretty much everything else went wrong for Islamabad today, camping trips, injuries, eyeglass malfunctions. The biggest problem comes down to numbers for these guys, they need to see a roster of 7-9 players showing up. They held up as well as they could’ve today, and with some additional help, they may have been able to pull off a win.
