The privacy of our league participants and Web site visitors is very important to us. This privacy policy describes how MuslimBasketball.org (the "Site") collects personally identifying information about you and how it uses that personal information. MuslimBasketball.org is a Web site of Muslim Basketball, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. By using our site, or otherwise providing information to us, you are accepting the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect That You Do Not Provide

We collect some information automatically from visitors to the Site, for example through the use of cookies (small files that a site stores on your computer's hard drive which enables that site to recognize your browser and remember certain information) and other tracking mechanisms. We collect at least the following: your host for Internet access; the Internet address of the site from which you came; the date and time of your access; your computer's IP address and information about its operating system, browser and host; the date and time you access the Site and the pages you visit. If you do not want to receive cookies, you may set your browser to reject them. However, if you turn cookies off, you may not have access to some of the Site's services and features. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issues cookies when you access the Site. We also may employ Web beacons from third parties to help us compile aggregated statistics regarding the operations of our site. We prohibit Web beacons on our site from being used by third parties to collect or access your personal information.

Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Information We Collect That You Do Provide

If you participate in league activities (season registration, message boards, etc.) on the Site, you may be asked to provide certain personally identifying information including, but not limited to your name, address, phone number, email address, birth date, height and weight. Unique identifiers, such as usernames and passwords, may be collected to verify your identity.

We do not sell, trade or share your personal information with outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our Web site and conducting organizational activities, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

What We Do with Personal Information Collected

We use personal information we collect to pursue our mission and organizational goals as well as to enhance the league experience. For example, if you sign up for our mailing list, we'll send you league emails; if you register with the league, we may display your name and details such as age, height and weight on our Site.

Various sponsors contribute greatly to this league, making it more affordable for all. The more we support the sponsors, then the more they support our league, and the more features we can add to this league. You may get an occasional email from one of our sponsors, but if you would like to opt-out of sponsor emails you can do so at any time by contacting us.

Protecting Your Information

We take physical, electronic, and procedural measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure while it is under our control. Even so, security breaches and mistakes can and do happen and we do not guarantee the security of personal information.

Third Party Links

It is important to note that our Site may contain links to other sites that offer third party products or services. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our Site and welcome and feedback about these sites.

Children

We do not collect information from anyone under 13 years of a age. Do not provide any personal information unless you are at least 13 years of age, and please caution your children not to provide any.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes to this page and/or update the Privacy Policy revision date at the top of this page.
