Damascus/Jeddah - if damascus plays the way they did against baghdad, look for a good game .. but if damascus shows up to play, watch a blowout occur .. jeddah will come out strong but in the long run look for damascus to take control of the game

Mecca/Cordoba - as much as i'd love to see cordoba in the finals, unfortunately this is where their cinderella story ends Frown .. a big reason cordoba wins (besides their 3pt shooting) is their ability to grab boards .. but against Rob, Micah, and Sami, it will be so much harder .. Ahmad will also have some better defenders guarding him in Ihab and Mustufa Abbassi

Damascus/Mecca - playing the finals after the semis is brutal .. both teams will be fatigue .. i think the athleticism damascus has will help them win this seasons final

2010 MB Summerball Champs - DAMASCUS

The final four and championship will be boring without stats...As these playoffs havent lived up to the hype yet because one cant really tell who did what in these games. Stats should be done for atleast the final four and championship game.

I love how u guys think it was a close game cause Damascus didn't play well ... Everybody played great except TQ who travelled like 6 times lol (tho a lot of the calls were questionable)... Ardell basically hit every shot he took even contested shots ... Ammar, tayyab, hazborn, and anwar not as bad as u guys think n got some skills back as the season progressed ... Injuries hurt us ... N Damascus aren't as great as u guys think especially without FA in the lineup

Mecca over cordoba by 2

Damascus beat Jeddah by 14

This final should be a decent game but I gotta go with Damascus as Mecca will be tired from a tough game vs cordoba n Damascus will be fresh with an easier matchup vs Jeddah (they shutdown isiah to 0 pts. In week 8) n also Damascus have the deeper team and younger legs

AR84 - thanks for volunteering

An - dont get us wrong .. your team is talented and you guys will only get better the more you play together .. but FA and his squad have been at it for almost every MB season .. you havent witnessed the type of damage they have done in the past .. i have yet to see them play to their full potential this season .. that will be a scary moment
(too bad they havent won a championship since the first MB season)

Playing against Mecca is definitely going to be tough. But I think Ahmad has already proven that he's gonna drop 30+ points regardless of who guards him. So I don't see "the better defenders guarding him" as a factor but you're definitely right about the boards. If we hit our shots like we have been, I think we can beat Mecca iA. But Mecca is a really good team so its gonna be a really hard fought game. Jerusalem played really well against them, especially in the first half, but Mecca found a way to win like they usually do. There are a lot of veteran, experienced ballers on Mecca. I think thats a huge reason why they're so good. We'll see what happens, anything is possible in MB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everybody had us losing against Granada too.

I think Isiah just had a bad game against Damascus last time. Don't get me wrong, Damascus does play really good D, but I think Isiah had 0 points because he just had a bad day on top of the good D played by Damascus. It happens. But you have to go with Damascus in this game because like someone else already said, they have too much depth. Ardell is gonna do his thing, TQ is gonna control the paint on both ends of the floor, and the rest of the Damascus squad will play their roles. They are definitely going to be tough to beat in the Finals.

I will be surprised to see any blowouts this weekend, playoffs are completely different from the regular season in my opinion...

Damascus over Jeddah

Mecca over Cordoba

Mecca wins the title... it's surprising how people are underestimating these guys, they're the strongest team (physically) by far, and they have 5 players that are each legitimately capable of big offensive games, the only other team being damascus... this game will be very physical and gritty, not exactly flashy and exciting, but definitely coming down to the last 5 minutes...

Either way, i'm looking forward to watching the ahmad hassan show, at least for one game :)

I'm not sure if anyone is underestimating Mecca. Their record speaks for itself, with their only loss against the #1 seed. They def have some of the best veteran talent in the league. Damascus is really the only team all season that has been able to dictate the tempo against them.
