i watched some of the video for the damascus jeddah game and i gotta vote for Patty for defensive player of the year he consistently this year did a good job on the defensive end. Others considerations such as AR-Jeddah, Alat-Fez, and Bron- Cairo

MVP= ahmed, hes the only player in the top 5 in scoring whos team had a record above .500. he also was in top 5 in assists. you can make a cases for farhad, ardell and edriss as well. all having great seasons on great teams. ROY= ahmad hassan, the best player in the league hands down. if cordoba could play a lick of defense this team would be a contender. chris, ariel and bron are taking into consideration as well having great seasons and leading their teams. DMVP= before the season started patty told me he would be the best defender in the league as he once was before he broke his ankle. well hes back. theres a reason why we are the best defensive team yet again. hes our darelle revis. i wished blks and steals were recorded because i saw mustafa have like 7 steals one game and he consistently performs on the defensive end. bron had a great year as well blocking shots. i didnt see fez games all season but i could only imagine the blocks if not altering ppls shots alat had. all 3 can be considered as well. comeback player of year= shamir hill ,he took a couple seasons off but he came back with vengeance this season putting up MVP worthy numbers for bukhara. Being surrounded by excellent ballers definitely helps. Rob and Micah do all of the dirty work down low. Sami is Mr. Versatility and can fill most rolls. Ihab and Moose are the toughest defensive duo. Both should be considered for defensive player of the year. Ihab always covers the best player on the opposing team for us and gets mad blocks and steals. Moose is a defensive beast. Kareem Sayed is the best player in the league hands down.
Patty is def one of the toughest...he doesn't get tired...frustrated the hell out of me but Damascus is full of defensive specialists. Can't wait to play you guys again.

Ahmed definatly deserves the MVP for 2 reasons. One of the best all round players in the league and likes to eat at Frijole. Top defensive teams in the league by points allowed: Damascus(357), Istanbul(362), Granada(369) and Alexandria(380). All four of those teams allowed under 400 points allowed this season. Worst defensive teams in the league by points allowed: Cordoba(585), Cairo(455), Bukhara(444), Fez(432).

Well deserved for Ahmed. I kept score for one of his games and it amazes me how easy he makes the game look lol. He casually just throws up a shot 5 feet behind the 3 point line and it goes in every time !! Very good finisher in the lane as well mashaAllah.
I would also put Ardell for consideration as MVP. At 19 pts & 9 rebounds he really meshed well with Damascus. I thought it might effect their chemistry but he played great team ball on a team where really almost anyone can drop 20 on any given night

Props to Ahmed. One of the best finishers in the league, definitely. Mecca's going to be a seriously tough out this postseason. |

Essad. Congrats omn the win, but your team still allowed 79 points. So i only stated the truth. If ahmad hassan keeps showin up and amre hamouda shows up, cordoba is a real contender.

cordoba did lock down in the second half though, allowing only 25 points. part of that was due to granada's own futility but give cordoba some credit. they did end the game with 2 huge defensive plays ("the steal" and "the block") |

I got Winner of Mecca/Cordoba vs Damascus as the Final. Thanks for the props, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. We still have to play a VERY good Istanbul team. A team that utterly destroyed us a month ago. It's not going to be an easy game by any stretch.. |

Cairo is a legit threat too. It seems like everyone is kinda ignoring them. Didn't a lot of people think that Kabul would beat Cairo? When they play together and their whole team shows up they're pretty tough to beat I think. Kind of like Cordoba :)

I thought they were deffly gna beat them, had they picked up their last ringer, but it wasn't allowed by other captains. |

JAK fellas. It's all about staying healthy. Alhamdullilah so far this season I've only had to deal with the broken index finger (courtesy of Damascus ). I have a feeling it's going to be an interesting playoff run for Mecca so hang on to your shorts!

I'm not sure why you keep giving Ahmed props when he already stated I was the best player in the league!
Better recognize!

There's no question Ahmed is a great baller and well worthy of MVP status, but I gotta go with Farhad on this one. Going by the true definition of 'MVP', it's Farhad all the way. He does everything for our team when we need it: score, rebound, run the point, hit big time shots in close games, defend...you name it, he can do it. Not to mention, he averages a double double. Extremely consistent. He's also, IMO, the most versatile player in the league, for reasons listed above. I can't name another player in the league that can cover all facets of the game at a high level. On a side note, it's really a shame that we lost in the first round to what was otherwise a pretty good season. 6-2, one of our losses coming from Mecca. Not bad for group of ballers who never played together in a league. We just weren't ready for the wrath of Ahmad Hassan and his good shooting supporting cast. Can't wait for Winterball iA.
