PLAYOFFS?!?
We are finally here. Sorry for the late predictions, but it has been a pretty busy week for me. Y'all know the disclaimer. Stop being so soft. Get over it. Prove me wrong. Let's not waste any time.
Cordoba vs Lahore - No team wants to face Lahore first round. They are not an easy out, and we knew as the season went on that a top team would have to face them based off their record. With that being said, Cordoba ain't an easy out either. Cordoba just has too many weapons for Lahore. This will be a way closer game than your normal 1 vs 16 seed. Dare I say, Lahore will lose by 3?
Sana'a vs Granada - It is unfortunate that Granada can never have a full team, because with Omar, Omar, Moiz, and Anas all present, they are a solid team. They have only played one game together all season. Now the really sad part is that one game they played together they played Sana'a, and that was last week, and they still lost by 16. With that being said, unless Sana'a is missing their key players, I can't see them losing this game. Sana'a by 10+ again.
Bukhara vs Islamabad - I tip my cap to the Bukhara squad. They have a group of my favorite people in MB, and they beat us even though we were up 5 with 40 seconds left and possession. I won't talk about who we were missing, it is what it is. We should have won regardless. Now to the matchup against Shah. They played pretty well in his absence, but they absolutely need him there today to stand a chance against the defensive monster Bukhara. Even with a full team, I got Bukhara in a very close one.
Kazan vs Amman - CAN'T WAIT. Coming fresh off a heartbreaking loss, Tex and team are out for blood. Yes, I am speaking in third person! They say its bad luck to talk about your own game, especially in the playoffs. You don't want to jinx it right? Y'all know me better than that. Not only will Kazan win, we will win convincingly. Score will be somewhere around 95-18. Give or take.
Baghdad vs Jakarta - Jakarta desperately needs the fountain of youth. I can't see them coming close to beating Baghdad here. Nick Francis had a helluva year, but unfortunately it comes to an end this week. They are going to need everyone they had last week plus Kenny to even have the slightest chance of winning. I don't see an upset happening here. Baghdad by a lot.
Dhaka vs Medina - This one is really tough for me. I am actually going to go with the upset here and choose Medina. They are listed with 3 losses. One was a forfeit, and the two other losses came to the number 1 and 2 ranked teams in the league, and they only lost by 3 points in each of those games. That is really impressive. Zain and Dhaka ain't no slouches, though. Give me Medina by 1.
Tripoli vs Beirut - Is Luis playing?! The question everybody asks before they make a Beirut prediction. I have no idea, but I don't care if Beirut has 3 guys playing, I am still picking my boys. Last time they played the game went into double OT, and that was without Luis.
Alexandria vs Palermo - Both teams are essentially coming off of bye weeks. Palermo got a forfeit W, and Alexandria played Delhi. I am unsure how Delhi came so close to beating Alexandria. That isn't the way they want to head into the playoffs. Sha-feek are going to do what they do, but they desperately need Kevin, Jason, or Syed to step up. Either way, I am going with Palermo by 8.
