A brother of the Northern NJ Muslim community, Ahmad Fahmy, is on his final day of the Marathon De Sable, a 7-day, 251 km/156mile long ultra-marathon (the equivalent of six regular marathons). He has made it to the final stage and he needs your help to reach his goal.

He is running this marathon in order to raise awareness towards family abuse. His mother is a founder of the WAFA house, an organization geared toward taking care of those who have suffered through family abuse, as well as raising awareness towards the issue. He set a goal to raise at least $15,000 by the end of the marathon. As I write this post he is sitting at $13,050. InshAllah all proceeds will go towards the WAFA house which is based out of Clifton, NJ. Please give whatever you can, $5, $50, $100 towards this cause. Anything will help inshAllah. And if you don't think it will help then listen to this. After Wednesdays race he found out that his effort was getting a lot of attention and raising more money per day than any other day previously. This inspired him to surpass 100 people in the rankings on the following leg (Thursday to Friday) and ran 50+ miles in 18 hours. He is listening to you, the donators, and he is responding. Dont let this effort go to waste, reward him and reward yourselves.
