As Salamu Alaykum!

It’s with great pleasure that we announce the newest project of MYCC, IBallAcademy, led by Maher Abuawad. In Sha Allah, Muslim Basketball will hold a strong partnership with IBallAcademy as the program will aim to produce fundamentally sound basketball players with excellent character that will be the future of our league! Muslim Basketball will look to help IBallAcademy in any way possible and we urge our members to apply as trainers from IBallAcademy as it will be a great opportunity to give back to the youth! Trainer applications are attached below. If you are interested in becoming a trainer for IBallAcademy, please complete and email to director@iballacademy.org.

We are extremely excited about this program and we pray that Allah SWT places blessings in Maher’s efforts and allows IBallAcademy to be a great outlet for our youth! For more information on the program, please read the letter below from Maher and check out the website at www.iballacademy.org.

Jazak Allah Khayr,
Muslim Basketball Directors

Dear Parents, Basketball Players, and Basketball Enthusiasts,

I am pleased to announce that IBallAcademy is set to launch this Summer in New Jersey! IBallAcademy is a not for profit organization geared to develop young males ages 10 and up to fuse basketball concepts with positive character building traits.

My vision started my senior year in high school when I had my first student, my little brother, Saleh Abuawad. Seeing his growth was one of the most rewarding experiences I have had and watching him progress from a non-athlete to a basketball player made me realize that this was something I was eager to do. Saleh learned to perfect many basketball techniques and became a disciplined individual but more importantly we bonded as brothers. IBA’s vision is to not only develop ball players and well-rounded young individuals, but also to create unity and brotherhood amongst basketball players.

Throughout this journey I helped start a well-known basketball program in Utica, NY called DKBA owned by Donelious King. I also became a trainer for four years of his highly successful basketball program that was certified two years ago by Ganon Baker. Ganon Baker is a professional trainer sought after by NBA players like Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant, Amar'e Stoudemire and many others. IBallAcademy teaches techniques to maximize individual ability, basketball IQ, and basketball concepts at college and pro level. This program will teach every basketball concept from ball control to team level concepts and everything in between.

I believe that whether you are the parent, the basketball player, or the basketball enthusiast your role is important for the success and growth of this organization. We are excited to have you as a part of our highly anticipated program.

Sincerely,
Maher Abuawad
President and lead trainer of IBallAcademy
