Power Ranking Trend

Power Ranking By Week
WEEK RECORD RANK COMMENTS
Week 9 5-4 7

Didn't have enough to play on Saturday, yet they still claimed the 6th seed.  They get to catch Mecca at the right time in Round 2.

Week 8 5-3 7

Kabul looked dead in the water as Granada chest bumped its way to a 19 point second-half lead.  All that celebration may have lit a fire under this club though as they stormed back on a 32-7 run to close the game.  Huthaifa S quietly leads this team in PPG and efficiency - he needs more looks on offense.

Week 7 4-3 8

Their offense and defense are both better than what happened on Saturday.  They'll have a chance to prove just that in a pivotal game on Saturday versus Granada, a similarly built team.

Week 6 4-2 5

Kabul's record looks good at 4-2, but without a guest pass (they have used all 5), this team could easily find itself at 4-5 by the end of the season.  They will need to grind out some victories here in the last few weeks.

Week 5 4-1 5

Notched a huge win versus Cordoba, but outcome may have been different without the 18 pt/9 reb from their guest pass.

Week 4 3-1 5

Their 3 wins were by a combined 7 points against teams with a combined 0-12 record.  Though they're winning, they will need to turn their offense up a notch if they hope for a deep playoff run.

Week 3 2-1 4

Tough win over a team with no wins

Week 2 1-1 4

Hamza Elsammak by himself is keeping them in the top half of the rankings. On the court, they are doing a good job without him but will need him back soon before I assume he's MIA for the season.

Week 1 1-0 2

Struggled versus a bottom feeder, albeit without Hamza Elsammak.  His inside presence was sorely missed.

Preseason 0-0 2

Though Shadi is not returning, they added Hamza - this team will not miss a beat.
