Week 9 4-5 11

They looked like a power early on, but have since somewhat faded. I still really think that when they have their full team, they can beat almost anyone. Luke is a nightmare down low, when Kenny gets the 3 ball working, forget about it. Add Jaber’s ability to find the right guy and make plays when necessary, you have a very under the radar contender.

Week 6 3-3 13

Lost to an upstart Mecca team. They desperately needed more bodies. Have a very tough schedule coming up. But they’ll hold their own. With a full squad, they’re very strong.

Week 5 3-2 8

No Kenny, no problem. Dominated from the start thanks to a monster game from Luke, who outscored Ahmad and Muhanad after they continued to talk smack. This team is solid when they play big - they did so and beat up on a smaller team.

Week 4 2-2 9

When the three ball balls, they’re dangerous. Need to see some better defense out of this group though. They played big in this one, Luke did his thing under the rim, Kenny played both inside and out, and Jaber continues to orchestrate one of the best offenses in the league. Looking forward to that week 7 matchup with Kazan!

Week 3 1-2 10

Really disappointed in this loss. I really like what this team had going for them, but they got outworked by a much smaller team. I know Timbuktu had Mujtaba, but Cordoba’s size alone should’ve gotten them this one. Kenny’s 3 point trigger is as green as anyone in this league and when it falls, all is well, but when it doesn’t, Cordoba gets caught in this up and down small man’s game that they aren’t well suited for. Luke couldn’t convert some easy ones which let Timbuktu run. They need to get into a more inside-out playing style. Also gave up waaaay too many easy baskets from simply not matching up in semi-transition.

Week 2 1-1 7

Played in two of the toughest games so far this season. Could hand with Sarajevo in week one, but bounced back and had a very convincing second half against Jakarta, blowing the doors off the game by outscoring their opponent by 21. Kenny’s been the horse thus far, he just keeps getting better season after season. Add double double machine Luke Jenson and crafty/veteran ball handing from Jaber, Cordoba can play with the best of them.
