Week 10 8-2 4

A close win against Kashgar isn’t necessarily the confidence booster they were looking for to end the regular season. BAKH and the Yanes took care of business nevertheless, and have a cake walk against Delhi next week. Remember, Delhi beat Sarajevo week 9, so they are looking to add another upset!

Week 9 7-2 4

An overall team effort in the win against Palermo, but I am sure their eyes are set on the playoffs. With what should be an easy win against Kashgar in sight, they need a huge victory and possibly some help to grab a bye week. I don’t see that happening, so look for Timbuktu to be one of the top seeded teams who have to actually play a game first week of playoffs. That should mean they go up against one of the bottom 4 teams in the league.

Week 8 6-2 5

The Yanes family came up just short on their biggest test of the season. The ROY candidate BAKH dropped 23, but he couldn’t get enough support from the rest of the team to come out with the win. Sitting at 6-2 and almost a lock to end at 8-2, they are still going to have a very high seed when they go into the playoffs.

Week 7 6-1 4

“Started from the bottom now we here!” This team just continues to impress. Granted, winning by 10 against the worst team in the league isn’t impressive at all, but being 6-1 and 3rd in the standings is. Kareem and Herb were the key contributors this game. Next week is a true test of how good this team really is when they face off against a Dhaka squad coming off a tough loss.

Week 6 5-1 6

They keep winning, and next game is essentially a bye week. Like I said last week, we need to fast forward to over a month from now when they play Dhaka. That is when we will see what the Yanes family is really about.

Week 5 4-1 10

I really want to move this team up higher, but it is hard to move anyone else above them down. They really need a statement win, and with their schedule, the only team that can move them up significantly would be a win over Dhaka. I am looking forward to that game to see how good this Timbuktu team really is. BAKH has already proven he can score, averaging 25ppg this debut season.

Week 4 3-1 13

This team is still a sleeper. They have only 1 loss and it was to a top tier Kabul squad. Next week they go up against another 3-1 sleeper team in Sana’a.

Week 3 2-1 15

Close win for the Yanes. They were missing their lead scorer and still managed to take care of business against a competitive Lahore team. The great shooting from the charity stripe is what determined this one. Timbuktu shot 10-12 from the line. That is huge.

Week 2 1-1 16

Great win for Timbuktu. BAKH and Chris holding it down for the team with 20 points and 16 points, respectively. Even matchup next week against the lanky giant, Omar.

Week 1 0-1 23

The Yanes family came up short, but on the bright side, newcomer Chris can score at will. He needs to do more than score to compete for ROTY though.

Preseason 0-0 25

New team.
