New Jersey (Central): Sheikh Jarrah (D2)
Power Ranking By Week | |||
WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 8 | 6-2 | 5 | A tough loss, but missing Arjun doesn’t help whatsoever. Abdelrahman is unstoppable at times, and I understand why Nazareth couldn’t cover him. |
Week 6 | 5-1 | 5 | Fraud this, fraud that. They got beat badly, yea, but without Arjun or Zion I’m taking this loss with a grain of salt. Ahmed Ismaeil went back to his MPJ ways, scoring 27 points and going 7-22 on the day, not to mention 11-12 on the FT line. Tough way to lose the win streak, though. They’ll brush this loss off and should be ready for Ramla. |
Week 5 | 5-0 | 2 | Am I eating crow? Does blowing a 16 point lead, but still getting the win against a team missing arguably their best player take you out of fraudwatch? Beats me. Anyways, a really nice game from POTW Zion Hammond (27pts) and Ahmed Ismaeil (22pts, 12reb). I’d like to see Arjun play his game a little better, 5-25 is rough. Regardless, 5-0 is 5-0. |
Week 4 | 4-0 | 4 | Arjun (19pts, 9reb), when he plays to his strengths and isn’t forcing shots, is a really, really good player. Abdelrahman (18pts) is a star in the making, like i said a couple weeks back. You just can’t teach that kind of hustle. 4-0 is 4-0, and I like this squad and what Ahmed Ismaeil’s done this season, but they’re on fruadwatch. They’ve beaten two bad teams, and they barely beat two teams with attendance issues. With the Popal’s up next, I want them to prove me wrong. |
Week 3 | 3-0 | 3 | Once again, Ahmad Ismaeil for GM of the year with the roster he created this season. He also had himself a game, going for 22 points and 9 rebounds. Arjun Petgrave had 15pts, 7reb, and 5ast, but the 0-8 from 3, not to mention being 15% from 3 on the year doesn’t look too great. I think they’ll clean up their act once Abdelrahman comes back. And hey, 3-0 sounds real good. |
Week 2 | 2-0 | 3 | Abdelrahman Elashry is quickly developing into a star player, going for 21pts and 10 boards. Not to mention Zion Hammond, who made his MB debut scoring 18 points on 8-12 shooting. Shoutout to Ahmed Elkasabi, (11pts, 5-5) going perfect on the day is hard to do. Arjun had a quiet day but still made his impact on the boards. This is one of the hottest and most hype teams in Central at the moment, and all props go to Ahmed Ismaeil, who is a favorite for GM of the season with this squad he assembled. |
Week 1 | 1-0 | 6 | Ahmed Ismaeil makes his return to MB with fellow Winter teammate Abdelrahman Elashry (15pts, 12reb), and a brand new team. Highlighting this squad is Arjun Petgrave (23pts, 12reb) who was the clear cut difference maker on the court. Ahmed really looks like he learned from the last season woes, opting to be a pass-first player for this team. They barely beat a strong Akka side, and I’m interested to see how well these guys can mesh with each other. |
