Week 8 5-3 5

Welcome back Hassan. All that really needs to be said, Rafah is a different squad with their star PG out there, 31-10-8 is no joke. A 40 point win might be in contention for one of the largest ever in MB. Great game from everyone on the squad, looking to see them continue this offensive streak next week against a better opponent.

Week 7 4-3 5

Still down Hassan this week, and it showed. Team was very lethargic to begin the game and dug a hole too deep to comeback later in the game. Really bad showing for the squad defensively as they allowed an uncharacteristic amount of points this week. Looking to see them bounce back next week against Safad however, and build some more momentum going into the playoffs

Week 6 4-2 5

Missing star PG Hassan this week, and got the W with guest Mike Knight. Contributions from the backcourt are why Rafah got the W this week however, Hashem with 14 points and elite efficiency and Habi with 5 steals bringing them both 9 steals combined, is what really got them going. Great team all around and looking to see them continue the momentum next week against a great squad. 4 game win streak and counting.

Week 5 3-2 6

Big win against a really good team in Nazareth, down PG Hashem and still pulled it out against a great squad. This was a really fun game between two really good teams in my opinion, Habi showed up this week which really brought the passion out in the squad, and wow, Nums finally showed up Alhamdulilah. 6 3s to pair with 26 points on good efficiency, had his best MB game against former teammate Shafic. Also, Hassan continues to do his thing with a 27 point triple double. Teams on a 3 game win streak and rolling.

Week 4 2-2 8

Thank you for coming Jojo! Nah on a serious note, team finally won a game with their star Hassan on the court, and you can see the difference Hashem has made on the court, taking pressure off of Hassan on both ends has done wonders for his efficiency and given him spot rests. Hassan and Jojo combined for 49 points, and I’m looking to see the other players on the team help pickup the slack. They were down Habi this week which is an essential piece, but looking to see them with a full squad finally next week. Interesting matchup coming up with Nazareth next game.

Week 3 1-2 8

Finally got that first win, and it came in a game where they really needed it, without starters in Hassan and Habi, they came in down a few guys, and shoutout to Lebanese prince aka Towfeek for coming in and doing all he could to help will the team to the W. Newcomer Hashem played with intensity and pace, and I’m looking to see the team build on this win with more offensive consistency and smarter team play.

Week 2 0-2 11

Still struggling with rhythm and shooting. Jitters may be behind them now, but someone needs to step up alongside Hassan. I just feel like this team needs more than the other options are giving them. They had 3 players score the entire game, with Hassan accounting for 85% of the points as a whole, looking to see them rebound next week potentially and get that first win of the season down.

Week 1 0-1 7

I feel as though this game was a case of 1st draft jitters, and not playing cohesively as a team. Rafah shot abysmally and cannot rely on Hassan to handle the workload 24-7, it just won’t be winning basketball. I’m looking to see the shooters bounce back next game and give Hassan some real help.
