Week 8 7-1 1

Best win: Nailbiter vs Areeha. This was arguably the best win of the season and highlighted Bethlehem’s situational execution against a top team in crunch time. They proved that their strengths can cover up their weaknesses. When they play fast, teams simply can’t outscore them. Jay and Trey have been talked about a lot but Nader has been a dynamic 4th option and Omar Hussein has been the go to scorer vs tight defenses.

Week 7 6-1 4

The issues from last week came up again but Jay Wiggins cranked up the intensity and turned it into a track meet. By the end, both teams were playing sloppy and Bethlehem took advantage on the glass and at the FT line. Omar Hussein had a massive game, as the most consistent shooter vs zone and matching up with Mahrooz in man on both ends in crunch time. Great performance overall.

Week 6 5-1 5

One of the biggest sliders of the week. The defense got worked around the rim in man and zone. The offense was running into walls without their wide open outlet passes and the zone forced them to put up lots of 3s. They’re still a top team but they are rightfully held to a high standard. Next week vs Areeha will be their chance to get their first win against a top 7 ranked team.

Week 5 5-0 1

Bethlehem keeps on rolling, showing resolve to overcome an early deficit against a dangerous Tiberias team. Nice to see Trey hitting 3 threes as they’ll need his shooting to contend. Wish they had a better defensive plan, as Andrew felt comfortable putting up 19 3 point attempts. Bethlehem has played lots of close games this season and will need to fight to stay atop the PR by the end of the season.

Week 4 4-0 1

Business as usual for Bethlehem. The team ranking of 11th in points allowed is misleading as no one has shot efficiently against this team, even with garbage time stats. Jay Wiggins led the defense, forcing a poor shooting night from Baysan’s top scorer.  Omar Hussein was unleashed in transition, with 31 points on 26 shots

Week 3 3-0 3

Statement win for Bethlehem, taking down an Al-Bireh team that still put out a loaded lineup. Their zone continues to be enough to complement an offense that leads the league in points per game and FG%. Jay Wiggins came up big with 23 points on 11-16, in a game where they needed every one of his points.

Week 2 2-0 3

Everybody is eating for Bethlehem and they’re out here running sprints, leading the league with 75.5 PPG. Trey led the way again with another efficient 19 points. The stat sheet doesn’t do justice to Omar Qasem and the impact he’s having. This team is must watch right now.

Week 1 1-0 5

Bethlehem delivered a well-rounded offensive performance, shooting an impressive 51% from the field with four players scoring in double figures, led by Trey H’s 19 points and Jay Wiggins’ near double-double. Their ball movement and efficiency from deep allowed them to keep pace with Jerusalem’s rebounding advantage. With timely scoring from Omar Hussein and Nader Elsammak, Bethlehem’s depth and shot-making ultimately carried them past Jerusalem’s one-man offensive surge.
