|---|---|---|---|
| Week 8 | 6-2 | 2 | Best win: 2OT vs Tulkarem. The Mahrooz-Singer-Sal core has always been dependable defensively. This game early on against a good defense set the tone offensively for the rest of the season. With Jay at the helm, he can let Mahrooz and Singer overpower teams like they used to or find Ali who has been a great addition vs teams that camp out down low. The loss vs Bethlehem only sharpened them for playoffs. |
| Week 7 | 5-2 | 5 | It was great to see Mahrooz back and he made his impact felt with a well rounded 22-5-6. The offense looked really good in the first half and Ali looked unstoppable in the paint vs the zone. It felt like Areeha really suffered on the boards when Sal was on the bench, which was a big key coming into this game. Against the top teams, defense and 3pt shooting will determine the ceiling for Areeha. |
| Week 6 | 5-1 | 4 | They can’t do anything but play what’s in front of them, but Areeha got out to a quick 20 point lead against 4 players before the fifth showed up. Jay Mustafa continues to look in complete control at all times and the defense did a great job taking away the biggest threats. Their best win against Tulkarem is losing some shine, as is the loss against Tiberias. However, this is still a top contender in the league. |
| Week 5 | 4-1 | 3 | QUADRUPLE DOUBLE?? Jay Mustafa finished with 20-11-13-10 steals in a dominant win. Not much else to take away against a team without their stars that started the game with 4 players. Areeha handled business as they should. They’ll look to continue their strong season so far. |
| Week 4 | 3-1 | 3 | Singer hit huge shots for Areeha, including 3s to break the zone and almost bringing them back at the end. Long term, though, it’s hard to see him taking more than double the next highest number of shots as the winning formula. Defense was a bigger issue, losing Andrew in transition and helping off Sal. Overall, they played well against a good team and fell short. |
| Week 3 | 3-0 | 1 | No Mahrooz, no problem. Areeha handled business without their star player. Not the most efficient offensive showing but this team can win in multiple ways. Great energy from Singer throughout the game and Jay chipping in 5 steals which has become insanely normal. Another efficient game from Ali Suiafan, who’s having a good season |
| Week 2 | 2-0 | 1 | Accounting for both offense and defense, this is the most complete team in the league so far. Looking at the schedule, this is the hardest test their offense will face and they passed, led by Ali Suiafan with 16 on 50% shooting. A Singer 3 and Jay Mustafa game winner sealed it in 2OT. |
| Week 1 | 1-0 | 1 | Areeha’s offense was powered by Ali Suiafan’s efficient 19-point outing and Mahrooz Qaderi’s 16 points, helping the team shoot a solid 46% from the field. Despite struggling from the free-throw line and committing 10 turnovers, their balanced scoring and 10 made threes kept them in control throughout the game. Omar Singer and Bilal Alamrany added key perimeter buckets to round out a strong offensive performance. |
