Istanbul/Fez - fez has a nice size advantage in this game .. they have been playing well as of late .. istanbul will need to work the ball around and hit their outside shots .. laraib will score .. can istanbul score more thou ??
Winner: FEZ

Bukhara/Jeddah - a surprising UP season for bukhara and a surprising DOWN season for jeddah .. jeddah will need their full team to pull this one out .. bukhara needs to contain isaiah and not let the 3s rain from other jeddah members (haris) .. shamir will get his layups but can he hit the J ??
Winner: JEDDAH

Jerusalem/Alexandria - speed vs manpower .. if alexandria guards at least contain jerusalem guards, then they should have a shot .. alexandria needs to use their size and score down low and grab all the boards
Winner: ALEXANDRIA

Granada/Cordoba - definitely not a #3 vs #14 game .. ahmad hassan is the best scorer MB has seen and cordoba is one of the best 3pt shooting teams .. if cordoba is hitting shots granada will be in for a tough game .. but the size and ability of granada big men is far too much for cordoba to handle
Winner: GRANADA

Cairo/Kabul - chris diaz is in the lineup now for good .. but can Kabul mesh well enough this late to make a run ?? bron and co will have an advantage in chemistry and should be able to contain chris
Winner: CAIRO

Baghdad/Medina - medina has been in some very close games recently .. ariel has been carrying this team .. baghdad has lost 2 in a row
Winner: MEDINA

Istanbul over Fez - team that controls the boards will win

Bukhara over Jeddah - Isiah is coming off a career low game n will show up n play his part. Despite Bukhara starting the game 9-0 , jibran siddiqui will get his n has experience from last season coming back from a 16-0 deficit in winterball playoffs to bet the spurs... He's not Keyshawn but get him the ball n hopefully he plays a little defense lol

Alexandria over Jerusalem - Alexandria have a smart group of players n should learn how to break the press after losing last week due to all their turnovers to the same team.

Granada over Cordoba - Cordoba will lose this game on the defensive end, especially in transition defense ... Granadas big men will grab the board n look deep for their chippy hanger ... Farhad will set up his trio of sharpshooters - Yamin, Ed, and Adham for wide open looks after penetration.

Kabul over Cairo - Kabul finally have a team and Cairo will face a tough challenge.

Baghdad over Medina - 3 players on Baghdad will have recovered from their injuries enough to actually run n Chris jones will be back from his injury ... Baghdad by 3 ...

An- correction, bukhara starts down 0-6.

My prediction for the playoffs: Stats will not be kept as only 1 game has volunteers so far - and Mecca and Damascus will be playing in week 2 of the playoffs.

Also, you and Ed are jinxin us big time man, not cool.
(i'll put in my predictions sunday morning)

I don't know about shutting down. But I will try to do my best, and try to bring a little more defensive prowess then what I used vs. Laraib.

I'm hoping this game will be the same as the Jeddah game iA.
Let your game do the talking.

In the words of Rudy Fernandez, "I want to put points on your face." so . . Taste my rainbow :)

The forecast calls for rain.

Agreed, Amre has been sorely missed out there this whole season.

That was Cairo's full team, they just all came yesterday, plus their one new addition too.
