Week 6 4-2 4

Only four players and still beat up on Suba this last week. Beirut is the real deal and they are the second best defensive team in the league. They take on a Riyadh squad that has not been able to find anyway to win, spare the one outlier. Beirut should win this one handly.

Week 5 3-2 5

Beirut was right there to hand Amman their first loss of the season but again Amman’s defense made the necessary stop on the final play of the game and handed Beirut the loss. Credit Beirut for their own defense against Amman this game as well, they just couldn’t execute that final  play and come out with a win. Next week they take on a weaker Suba squad in the season finale. I expect them to win this one and finish the season 4-2 headed into the playoffs.

Week 4 3-1 3

Beirut keeps on rolling. Very dominant game against Istanbul handing them their first loss of the season. They took over this game early on in the second half and never looked back making it look easy on offense. Next week they take on a Amman squad that has been unstoppable. Stick around for this one, should be a close game.

Week 3 2-1 6

What a game this was between Beirut and Mecca going into overtime and coming down to the wire. Nick Marquez was huge in this one finishing with 17 and hitting the game winner with one second to spare. Great feel good win for this team and it will be interesting to see if they can keep this streak going against Istanbul after the bye week.

Week 2 1-1 7

Great bounce back game, just what this team needed. This one felt more like a scrimmage game for Beirut with everyone on the offense getting involved and dominating the boards. Next week they take on a Mecca squad that’s coming off a rough loss. Can they hand Mecca back to back losses? This one should be interesting.

Week 1 0-1 8

Was a close game throughout but Mombasa pulled away at the end. The Johns led the team in scoring but in the end Mombasa’s shooting was able to close out the game. Wasn’t an easy matchup for them but next week they take on a Kashgar team that also had some offensive struggles. Look for them to have a bounce back week and get back to their winning ways.

Preseason 0-0 5

A team that always has the potential to go all the way comes back after a disappointing playoff run last season. Jon Mingo returns to try to lead his team as he always does back to the promise land. With the same core of players they can do some damage this season. They start their season off against the defending champs, an opportune time to make a statement. Can week 1 come already??
